EcoSense: Responsible Environmental Behaviour Through Digital Innovations
About the project
EcoSense connects environmental education with digital innovations to make sustainability learning practical, engaging and inclusive. The project focuses on strengthening environmental awareness and responsible behaviour through hands-on tasks, outdoor learning, and digital resources that can be used across different subjects and school contexts—especially supporting rural schools and mixed-ability classrooms.
EcoSense is a school partnership (Lithuania, Greece and Slovakia) that helps students and teachers strengthen everyday sustainable habits through digital learning. Together we are developing an interactive training methodology and an open Virtual Learning Centre supported by QR/IRQ codes, so schools can access ready-to-use activities, challenges and learning resources anytime, anywhere.

Erasmus+ “EcoSense” Project Meeting in Slovakia 🌿On April 20–23, the first Erasmus+ “EcoSense” project partner meeting took place in Stary Tekov, Slovakia, bringing together students and teachers from Lithuania, Greece and Slovakia.During the meeting, students took part in introductory, creative and interactive activities, deepened their knowledge of sustainability, environmental protection and the Sustainable Development Goals. They also explored the “My EcoSense” learning platform, designed to promote responsible environmental behaviour.Project participants visited the town of Levice, the regional museum and Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava, where they discussed sustainable tourism, cultural heritage preservation and sustainable communities.On the final day, students reflected on their experiences, discussed how they could apply their new knowledge in the future, and received certificates of participation.This meeting provided new knowledge, inspiration, international communication experience and motivation to create a more sustainable future. Visiting Greece
The First Day of Erasmus+ in Crete 
Today marked the beginning of our MyEcoSense Erasmus+
activities in Crete. Together with students and teachers from Slovakia, we
received a warm welcome at a school in Chania.
First, we got to know the school community, introduced
ourselves to one another, and explored the school. Later, we attended an
engaging presentation on plastic recycling and responsible consumption. The
students worked in mixed international groups, completed interactive tasks,
shared ideas, and expanded their knowledge of plastic sorting and recycling.
These activities perfectly reflected the main aim of the
MyEcoSense project: to raise students’ environmental awareness and encourage a
responsible attitude towards the environment around us. 
After the activities at school, we set off to explore Chania. We strolled through the charming streets of the Old Town, admired its historic architecture, and experienced the unique atmosphere of Crete.
Our first day was filled with new friendships,
collaboration, learning, and unforgettable experiences. This is just the
beginning of our Erasmus+ week, with many more exciting activities and
discoveries ahead! 
Erasmus+ Activities in Crete
From October 19 to 22, students from Lithuania and Slovakia
met in Chaniá, Crete, to take part in activities as part of the Erasmus+
project “EcoSense: Responsible Environmental Behavior Through Digital
Innovations.” The four days were filled with new experiences, international
cooperation, learning and meaningful activities focused on environmental
awareness.
Our visit began at a school in Chaniá, where Lithuanian and
Slovak students met their Greek hosts, got to know one another and took part in interactive activities and lessons. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn together, communicate and share experiences from our countries.
A special focus was placed on environmental protection and
responsible behaviour towards nature. During our visit to a waste recycling
facility in Chaniá, students learned how waste is sorted and processed and why
proper waste management is so important. They then put their knowledge into
practice by collecting litter on the beach and helping to keep the coastal
environment clean. 
During a biology lesson, students explored the impact of
plastic pollution on the Mediterranean Sea, discussed the threats it poses to marine ecosystems and considered possible solutions. In the English lesson, they took part in a discussion about environmental challenges in different countries, sharing experiences, comparing situations and exchanging ideas on how to protect our planet.
These activities gave
students the opportunity not only to deepen their knowledge of environmental
issues, but also to discover different cultures, make new friends, improve
their English communication skills and experience the value of international cooperation.
Four days, countless
new experiences and one important message: protecting our planet is a shared
responsibility, and every small action matters.
We are already
looking forward to welcoming our partners to Lithuania at the beginning of
December, where our EcoSense journey will continue with new activities,
discoveries and opportunities to learn together!
