During Week 3 of the 30-Day Sustainability Challenge, students explored the connection between waste management, recycling and composting. They visited a local recycling facility, observed how waste materials are collected, sorted and processed, and discussed the importance of reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
At school, students also worked in the school garden and took part in a composting activity. They learned how organic waste, leaves and plant residues can be transformed into useful compost for the soil. Through this action, students understood the value of the circular economy and how waste can become a resource for a greener school environment.
