Who We Are
Základná škola
Štefana Senčíka is a small and welcoming primary school located in the rural
village of Starý Tekov in Slovakia. We educate pupils aged 6–15 (Grades 1–9) in
a safe, friendly, and supportive environment, where every child is known,
valued, and encouraged to succeed.
What We Value
Our school community is diverse, and inclusion, respect, and
equal opportunities are at the heart of our work. We focus on positive
relationships, cooperation, and individual support. Teaching is based on active
learning, project work, and the use of digital tools to develop creativity,
critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
In addition to
regular lessons, our pupils participate in sports, arts, ICT activities, school
projects, and community events. We work closely with parents and the local
community to create meaningful learning experiences connected to real life.
Erasmus+ and Europe
Through Erasmus+ project, our school opens its doors to
Europe. International cooperation helps our pupils and teachers discover new
cultures, improve language and digital skills, share good practice, and grow
into open-minded and confident European citizens.
