EcoSense: Responsible Environmental Behaviour Through Digital Innovations

Erasmus+ KA210-SCH – Small-scale partnerships in school education

Short description

EcoSense is a school partnership (Lithuania, Greece and Slovakia) that helps students and teachers strengthen everyday sustainable habits through digital learning. Together we are developing an interactive training methodology and an open Virtual Learning Centre supported by QR/IRQ codes, so schools can access ready-to-use activities, challenges and learning resources anytime, anywhere.

About the project

EcoSense connects environmental education with digital innovations to make sustainability learning practical, engaging and inclusive. The project focuses on strengthening environmental awareness and responsible behaviour through hands-on tasks, outdoor learning, and digital resources that can be used across different subjects and school contexts—especially supporting rural schools and mixed-ability classrooms.

Objectives

  • Promote responsible environmental behaviour and everyday sustainability habits among students (especially ages 13–15).
  • Support teachers with a clear, adaptable EcoSense methodology that combines classroom, outdoor and digital learning.
  • Create an open Virtual Learning Centre with ready-to-use resources (lesson plans, tasks, videos, and interactive activities).
  • Use QR/IRQ codes to make access to learning materials simple and immediate in school spaces and during outdoor learning.
  • Strengthen international cooperation and share good practices between partner schools and their communities.

Who can use EcoSense resources?

EcoSense materials are designed for students, teachers and school communities. After development and piloting, the methodology and selected digital resources will be available for wider use by other schools and educators interested in practical sustainability education.
