Students installed a bird feeder in the school yard and filled it with suitable bird food. They also placed a feeder on the outside windowsill of their classroom to create additional feeding opportunities for local birds. The activity helped students understand the importance of supporting wildlife, especially during the colder months. They are looking forward to observing different bird species and their behavior, particularly in winter. In addition, students discussed the importance of providing water for birds, especially during hot and dry summer periods. They learned that even small containers regularly filled with fresh water can serve as valuable bird baths and help local wildlife stay healthy and hydrated.
