Students collected elderflowers and prepared a natural homemade lemonade. Instead of throwing the used flowers into a waste bin, they took them to the school compost area. Through this activity, students learned that even small amounts of organic waste can be composted and returned to nature. They became more aware of the importance of composting as a simple way to reduce waste, enrich the soil and support a more sustainable environment.
