THEODOROPOULOS SCHOOLS is a private comprehensive school located in Chania, Crete (Greece), and the only institution of its kind in the region. It provides primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary education to approximately 500 learners aged 6–18, supported by 50 qualified teachers. The school offers a broad curriculum including sciences, humanities, foreign languages, arts, and music, and demonstrates consistently high academic performance in national examinations.

The school’s educational approach is aligned with European values and priorities, aiming at the development of confident, critical, and socially responsible European citizens. Emphasis is placed on key competences such as foreign languages, digital skills, scientific literacy, teamwork, and intercultural understanding.

THEODOROPOULOS SCHOOLS is the first bioclimatic school in Crete, operating a photovoltaic solar park that ensures energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Environmental education is integrated across the curriculum through recycling, composting programmes, and participation in local and international ecological initiatives, including cooperation with environmental organisations such as WWF.

The school has strong experience in European cooperation, having participated in Erasmus+ projects and three international and one national eTwinning projects, including learner mobilities. These projects focus on sustainability, environmental protection, digital transformation, and innovative teaching practices, significantly strengthening the school’s European dimension.

In addition, the school cooperates with the Technical University of Crete, promoting STEM education, scientific thinking, and innovative, inquiry-based learning approaches.

Through European programmes and academic cooperation, THEODOROPOULOS SCHOOLS enhances student competences, supports continuous teacher professional development, and fosters openness, international collaboration, and sustainable school development in line with Erasmus+ objectives.
